Since 1984, our company has steadily built a reputation for quality work, fairness and customer satisfaction. In that time we've also expanded our offering services to meet our customer's needs. Heavy- and Medium-duty trucks and trailers, truck mounted equipment, welding, fabrication, and sandblasting - no matter the task, from our location in the centre of Hamilton's industrial sector, we've got it covered.

Our History

In 1982 a truck and coach mechanic rented property and a building with a partner on Cannon Street in Hamilton, Ontario and together they began to operate a small car repair shop. The business evolved quickly and the focus switched from cars to heavy-duty trucks and trailers. It soon became apparent that a larger facility was required and so the business was moved to Barton Street in 1984 and was incorporated as Barton Truck & Trailer Service Ltd.

Barton Truck & Trailer Service Ltd. steadily built a reputation for quality work and excellent customer service. Acquiring several customers whose work in the Hamilton industrial sector required the use of various types of truck-mounted equipment, the company naturally diversified to offer custom welding and fabricating work.

In the early 1990’s, the company began offering standard long-term and full maintenance truck leases and the amount of welding and fabricating business continued to grow. Again, with steady growth and much potential, in 1994 the business was moved to a much larger facility at its current location on Rennie St. in Hamilton.

In December of 2005, Barton Truck & Trailer Service Ltd. officially became Barton Truck Centre Ltd. to better reflect the varied and complimentary services offered to customers.
